    Madea makes me horny

  • Review by kurishee ⭒🩶 ★★★

I was patiently waiting to see Madea have funny quips with her old classmates, proving her life’s worth’s accomplishment of stripping and criminal activités, maybe having a old classmate rivalry/being opposite of a former wannabe mean girl.

But I’m learning oftentimes Tyler Perry’s concepts has nothing to do with the play itself. There were some outdated jokes that wouldn’t fly today even though it was made in 2003, like Cora being sexually harassed at work. (2003 was 19 years ago! ) Didn’t expect this play to show any age but it did. Still very fun, always nice to visit his older works and to appreciate it for what it is or was.

No madea i will not forgive my rapist

Been seeing so many clips of Tyler Perry’s old plays on Tiktok that it threw me into a fit of nostalgia so I ended up busting out some of my family’s DVDs.

Class Reunion is probably my favorite one (right behind Madea Goes to JailandFamily Reunion) just for the jokes alone. I think I prefer Tyler Perry’s (older) plays over his movies just for the simple fact that a LOTof the jokes from his plays end up in his movies with a less effective punch and that’s putting it mildly.

I may talk sh*t about him and his work now, and will most likely continue to, but the OG plays have a special place in my heart. That’s the beauty of duality.

IMO, this is Tyler Perry's best play. I laugh from the opening act to the last act. I can watch this over and over and I enjoy it so much. The acting, the music, the character development, and the overall play is just good. I love this, and would've love to seen this live.

Another Madea project that doesn’t even attempt to deliver on its premise. Doesn’t matter though, it’s perfect!

This was pretty funny but the singing about god in 90% of the songs was killing me.

this used to be my favorite tyler perry play and honestly it holds up more than i expected. which doesn't mean it holds up well, just more than i expected. also, i'm convinced that tyler perry made me an atheist.

  • Review by Marcus A. Montgomery ★★★

    Pretty good and entertaining.

Perry played two characters in this one. The non-Madea character felt too much at times. A lot of his jokes could’ve just been done by “Madea” and still would’ve felt justified.

All of the singing was on point.
