Here is what the draft experts had to say:

Round 1

Terrion Arnold, CB (Alabama)

Dane Brugler (The Athletic) – "Another perfect match in terms of need and fit, the Eagles move up here to nab Arnold. Head Coach Nick Sirianni talks about his players with a "dog mentality," and that might be the No. 1 trait that sticks out in Arnold's game. He dominated during DB drills at the combine."

Graham Barton, IOL (Duke)

Chad Reuter (NFL.com) – "If the Raiders and Saints pass on Barton, then the Eagles could move up to get a leader on the offensive line. His athleticism, toughness and football IQ could allow him to step in at multiple spots, likely combining with Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson in the interior. Despite his lack of length (32 7/8-inch arm), his play at left tackle over the past three years shows he can move outside if injuries hit that part of the depth chart."

Cooper DeJean, CB (Iowa)

Ryan Wilson (CBS) – "Cooper DeJean is a big, strong, fast cornerback with return ability, and the Eagles need to bolster the secondary."

Troy Fautanu, OT (Washington)

Ben Solak (The Ringer) – "The Eagles took a guard/tackle hybrid early in the third round last year in Tyler Steen, and Steen is now slated to be the starting right guard entering camp, as Cam Jurgens moves over to center to take the mantle from Jason Kelce. With Fautanu, another college tackle who likely transitions to a guard in the league, the Eagles can hedge their bets. Fautanu and Steen will fight for the starting job, and the losing player will be the sixth OL and back up both tackle and guard spots."

Taliese Fuaga, OT (Oregon State)

Trevor Sikkema (Pro Football Focus) – "Philadelphia — which has always looked ahead when it comes to building in the trenches — could draft a player like Fuaga, who could start at guard early on and then kick out to right tackle when Lane Johnson retires."

Tyler Guyton, OT (Oklahoma)

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz (USA Today) – "Even though three-time All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson made it clear he plans to keep on playing, general manager Howie Roseman still might be drawn to finding the 33-year-old's eventual successor. What better long-term option is there than Guyton, a fellow Sooners product who is already being mentored by Johnson and could continue to learn the finer points of the position as he sits behind the veteran?"

Laiatu Latu, DE (UCLA)

Adam Caplan (Pro Football Network) – "Laiatu Latu, known in scouting circles as one of the top edge rushers available for this NFL Draft, also possesses quite possibly the best hand technique. However, he's still on the board in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft because of uncertainty regarding whether he'll be cleared medically by all 32 teams."

Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB (Alabama)

Danny Heifetz (The Ringer) – "McKinstry does not have Nate Wiggins's top-end speed, but he has short-area quickness and a high football IQ. Philly's starting cornerbacks, Darius Slay and James Bradberry, are both in their 30s and playing a position that infamously ages like milk. Philly was expected to address corner last year but snagged two Georgia pass rushers (DT Jalen Carter and LB Nolan Smith) in the first round instead. This year's draft is much deeper at corner than pass rusher."

Amarius Mims, OT (Georgia)

Field Yates (ESPN) – "Lane Johnson will be turning 34, so Philly might be motivated to add depth at the position, something it did in advance of Jason Kelce's retirement, too. Mims has just 803 career snaps under his belt but exhibits all-world physical tools, and learning from legendary line coach Jeff Stoutland would be great for him."

Quinyon Mitchell, CB (Toledo)

Doug Benc/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Sam Monson (Pro Football Focus) – "Many people's top cornerback in the draft, Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell has special click-and-close ability in zone coverage and earned 91.5-plus PFF grades in 2022 and 2023. Philadelphia's cornerbacks are aging fast, and Mitchell would be a much-needed injection of youth."

Jackson Powers-Johnson, IOL (Oregon)

Michael Conroy/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Joel Klatt (FOX Sports) – "The Eagles have to do something in the interior offensive line following Jason Kelce's retirement. Powers-Johnson is a good fit here. They could go corner, but they need to replace the heartbeat of the line."

Jared Verse, DE (Florida State)

Danny Kelly (The Ringer) – "The Eagles do here what they always seem to do in the draft, gobble up value with a potential day-one contributor in Verse. The former Seminoles star is an explosive pass rusher who plays with a blend of speed and power. He'll be a nice complement to Josh Sweat and Bryce Huff on the Eagles defensive line."

Nate Wiggins, CB (Clemson)

Charles McDonald and Nate Tice (Yahoo Sports) – "Philadelphia is getting a little old at cornerback. Here's a talented player in Wiggins who can help them start looking toward the future at that position. Wiggins needs to put on weight to make this work, but he has the upside to make this work."

Xavier Worthy, WR (Texas)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (14)

Doug Benc/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Damian Parson (The Draft Network) – "The Eagles need a true WR3 that can take the top off the defense. Well, a guy who broke the 40-yard dash record and plays just as fast on the tape sounds like a perfect solution. Xavier Worthy is the fastest man in the class, but he runs good routes as well. He, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith are a dangerous trio to try and defend."

Round 2

Javon Bullard, S (Georgia)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (15)

Darron Cummings/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Ralph Vacchiano (Fox Sports) – "As if Roseman was going to get through this draft without taking another Georgia Bulldog. There's no doubt that safety is as big of a need for the Eagles as cornerback. The position is big in the scheme run by new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, which is why they reversed course and brought back Gardner-Johnson. They're also high on Sydney Brown, last year's third-round pick, but he tore his ACL in January and it's unclear when he'll be back.

"The 5-11, 198-pound Bullard isn't the ballhawk that Gardner-Johnson is, but he's a smart and tough safety who can cover. He often played the "big nickel" role in Georgia, which could make him a quick fit in three-safety looks for the Eagles."

Junior Colson, LB (Michigan)

Ryan Sun/Copyright 2023 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Jordan Reid (ESPN) – "The Eagles haven't really invested in the linebacker position in the draft, and it has shown. An aggressive and instinctive prospect, Colson would help the middle of the defense in Philadelphia right away. He had 101 tackles last season."

Edgerrin Cooper, LB (Texas A&M)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (17)

Darron Cummings/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN) – "Cooper might have been a first-round pick if he were drafted 10 years earlier. Teams just don't value off-ball linebackers these days, but he is my top-ranked player at the position. The Philly defense fell apart last season, and it has to get younger."

Max Melton, CB (Rutgers)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (18)

Doug Benc/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Field Yates (ESPN) – "The Eagles need to get faster on defense and add cornerback depth, both of which Melton would assist with in a major way. He's a four-year starter with excellent ball skills."

Tyler Nubin, S (Minnesota)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (19)

Darron Cummings/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Jordan Reid (ESPN) – "Sydney Brown suffered a late-season ACL tear, and the Eagles were already thin on the back end. Nubin's range, tackling and versatility make him an appealing target here for the Eagles. He had 12 interceptions over the past three seasons."

Patrick Paul, OT (Houston)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (20)

Michael Conroy/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN) – "Philadelphia is another team that could benefit from this talented offensive tackle class. If it goes defense in Round 1, it might still be able to find a future OT starter here. Paul could serve as a swing tackle as a rookie, as Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson are entrenched as the starters. Johnson, however, has dealt with nagging injuries in recent years, so acquiring depth is important. Paul started 39 games at left tackle for the Cougars."

Ja'Lynn Polk, WR (Washington)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (21)

Doug Benc/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Trevor Sikkema (Pro Football Focus) – "Polk is a limited route runner, but he is also one of the best "go up and get it" contested catch receivers in this class (and that is really saying something). His knack for making big plays should always get him on an NFL roster in some capacity."

Payton Wilson, LB (NC State)

Mock Draft Tracker: Who will the Eagles pick in the 2024 NFL Draft? (22)

Darron Cummings/Copyright 2024 The Associated Press. All rights reserved

Matt Miller (ESPN) – "Last season highlighted the Eagles' lack of depth and young talent at linebacker after years of neglect in the draft. Adding veteran Devin White should help, but Wilson has three-down skills that no one in this class can match. He posted 6 sacks, 18.5 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions in 2023. There are durability concerns at 24 years old, but Wilson's tape is that of an NFL starter."
