He will continue to be in charge of production in his new capactiy. Peak Year Seen For TV in 1953 SYRACUSE, N. Dec. 22 AP) Military orders, research, and the continuing growth of television will make 1953 a record year for the electronics industry. Dr.

W. R. G. Baker, vice president and general manager, General Elactric Co. electronics division, predicted.

He said he expected the industry to gross more next year than the $4,000,000,000 currently estimated as its annual volume. He said he expected these developments: More than 200 television stations in operation by the end of 1933, compared with 117 as of Dec. 8. Production of more than 6.500,-000 home television sets and about 7,500.000 home and portable radio receivers. Continuation of a trend toward larger picture tubes and advancements in development of color tubes.

A marked increase" in technological development, in both pure and applied research. A "large-scale" increase in development and production of devices used to convert television sets for reception on ultra-high-frequency channels. Food Fair Stores Promotes Stem Louis Stein, vice president and general counsel, yesterday was named vice president-assistant to president of Food Fair Stores. George Friedland. president, said that Stein also will continue as general counsel of the company and as a director.

Stein has been associated with Food Fair since its pre-organization days in the early 1930s. Broad. Int. Har Jehuda Cem. Shiva will be observed a 1706 Erien rd. i Harris Patton, executive secretary of the Delaware County Real Estate Board for the last 25 years, died on Saturday at his home, 4 Pinzon Manoa, Delaware county.

He was 71. Mr. Patton, who was honored last October by the Delaware County Real Estate Board for his long service, is survived by his wife, Anne; a son, William, and a daughter, Mrs. Leon Lewis, of Norwich, Conn. He was a member of the Artisans and the Masons.

Services will be held today at Toppitzer's funeral home, Garrett rd. and Lansdowne ave. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Theodore Mungen Theodore Mungen. who retired after 30 years with the Budd where he was manager of the specialty department, died Sunday at Abington Memorial Hospital.

He was 72. Mr. Mungen was born in Wash-, ington and received a doctor's degree from Taylor University, Chattanooga, when he was 68. In addition to his interests in engineering, business and mechanical arts. he was a student of biology, chemistry, economics, physics, philosophy and general science.

He lived at 1857 Canterbury Abington. He was a Mason and a member of the American Society of Engineers. He was an active member of the Jenkintown Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sadie and a sister. Miss Louise Mungen, of Washington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. Saturday at Oliver Bair's, 1820 Chestnut st. Burial will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Elliott Curtiss Elliott Curtiss, retired president of the U.

S. Metallic Packing 1234 Hamilton died Sunday at his home, 316 Cynwyd road, Bala-Cyn wyd. He was 72. Mr. Curtiss had been associated with the company for 55 years be fore he retired last year.

He had been president for 27 years. He was a member of the New York Railroad Club, the Navy League and the Sons of the American Revolution. He is survived by his wife, the former Roberta Le Brou; twin sons, John C. and Robert a daughter, Alica Antonia Curtiss, and two children by a previous marriage, Mrs. George Duross, of Chestnut Hill, and Ward S.

Mrs. Miller was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Gibraltar; Reading Chapter 251, Order of Eastern Star; True Fraternity Sisterhood, Dames of Malta 148, and Re-bekah Lodge, Odd Fellows. She also is survived by two sons, Robert T. and John two brothers and five sisters.

Purse Tracey M. Purse, advertising director of the Pennsylvania Banker for the last five years, died yesterday at his home. 115 S. 40th st. He was 53.

Prior to coming to Philadelphia, Mr. Purse was associated with the Furse of Chattanooga, publishers of trust booklets for banks. He also was a member of the advertising staff of the magazine, Trusts and Estates, in New York City. He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Statzell; two sons, Peter and Tracey of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Frohner, of Great Falls, Mont.

William H. Rodgers William H. Rodgers, of 217 Penn Germantown, an employe in the composing room of Edward Stern 6th and Cherry for 57 years before his retirement died Friday in West Chester Hos pital. He was 86. Mr.

An at torney for a balky witness in the grand jury investigation of the Brink's robbery indicated today the man might be ready to talk. The lawyer asked for a week's de lay in the contempt hearing against Joseph S.

Banfleld so Banfield "would have the opporunity to go back before the grafid jury." Federal Judge William T. McCarthy agreed to the postponement. Banfield appeared before the jury about the same time as Paul J. Hooley. brother-in-law of a man the FBI calls a "participant" in the robbery, and Edward A.

Bennett. All refused to answer questions and were cited for contempt. After Ban-field's lawyer said Banfield wanted to return to the Jury room, Judge McCarthy put off the contempt hearings for all three until next week. Henry S. Harris, secretary of the Philadelphia Engineers Club since 1942, died on Sunday at his home.

4 Greenwood place, Wyncote, Pa. He was 71. Mr. Harris was president of the Council of Engineering Secretaries and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Franklin Institute. At one time Mr.

Harris was employed by Thomas A. Edison. He was graduated from Columbia University in 1902, and from the University of Pennsylvania in chemical engineering in 1906. He was a vestryman of All Hallows Church, Wyncote. Mr.

Harris is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Britton; a daughter, Mrs. Tessin Zorach, of Brooklyn, and two sons, Britton, of San Juan, P. and Alfred, of Cambridge, England. Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M.

today in All Hallows Church. Gennaro Pellegrini Gennaro Pellegrini, a tailor who lived at 1436 S. 13th died Sunday in Hahnemann Hospital. He was employed at the U. S.

Marine Corps Quartermaster Depot for 26 years. He was 63. Mr. Pellegrini, who was a Mason and a member of the Tailor's Club, is survived by his wife, Theresa; 11 sons, Silvio, Anthony, Vincent, Gennaro John, Joseph, a lieutenant colonel stationed at Wright-Patter son Airport. Downing, vice president of the Scranton Electrotype Co. died today in Hahnemann Hospital here. Mr. Downing was a native of Philadelphia but had lived here for 50 years. He was a veteran of the First World War and a past commander of the Koch-Conley Post American Legion.

He was a Mason and a member of the Good Shepherd episcopal Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary; his father, A. H. Downing, two brothers. Col.

Hunn Simon M. Hunn, head of the com merce department at Bartram High School for the last 12 years, died Sunday night at his home, 5713 Camac st. He was 65. Mr. Hunn had served the public schools here for 45 years.
